Acupuncture

24 05 2010

My (Missy’s) nursing students are currently in their acupuncture unit as these helpful, plastic statues are littering every surface in the classrooms.

A class period is made up of two 45 minute periods divided by a 10 minute break. During the break last Thursday a student wandered around the class passing out acupuncture needles (which are teeny if you’ve never seen one) and then the students had to figure out what to do with them until the class came where they’d need them. Some went into pencil bags, a few were tucked into spare pieces of cloth and paper, and I saw one cleverly stored inside the shaft of an unscrewed ballpoint pen. Wacky!
